Anyone who hosts a website for business purposes can testify that bounce rate is an important factor to monitor, that it indicates a certain measure of success. This week’s e-commerce infographic is called Bounce Rate Demystified and it comes to us from the the Kiss Metric blog.
Section one defines bounce rate, explains its relevance and describes different ways bounces occur.
Section two breaks down bounce rates along industry lines. You can use these numbers to benchmark pages on your site, but remember that bounce rates will vary depending on the traffic source, so remember to keep an eye on your traffic profiles as well.
Section three provides tips for improving your bounce rate. Tip number two for improving bounce rate is to “provide relevant content”, a topic near and dear to our hearts.
Feel free leave a comment telling us how you use bounce rate and any techniques you've used to improve yours.
