E-commerce Eye Candy – Mobile Gaming

According to this infographic from Business Degree, mobile gaming generated $12 billion dollars in 2011 and is expected to double by 2016.

Games have the highest percentage of use out of any type of mobile app. From the bed to the bathroom to the bus, people play games everywhere.

Gamers are frequent users as well: over half of smartphone owners play games on their devices at least once a day and over half of mobile gamers play for an hour a day.

We know that the social media sphere is growing with an eight fold increase of social network users in the past seven years just as we know that these users love to talk about their favorite (and not so favorite) brands online.
